Tomato chitranna

Its season of Red.. tangy fresh Tomatoes :)
And we have too many recipes involving tomatoes. Will try to post as many recipes for you guys you try out.
This very first recipe is very simple and very tasty one.. its Tomato chitranna.
Requires less and basic ingredients for this.
In my home, my mom's taste of preparing this is so unique and special... no words :)
Let me narrate how to do this...
INGREDIENTS REQUIRED
Tomatoes Ripen - 1/2 Kg
Onion medium size - 2 No's
Cooking Oil - 1 tbsp
Curry leaves - 2 strands
Coriander leaves - 2 strands
Turmeric Powder- 2 pinch
Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
salt to taste
Cooked Rice - 1/2 kg
How to prepare:
1) Clean the Tomatoes and Onion
2) Chop fine the tomatoes and onion in length wise chop it.
3) In pan , add oil heat for couple of minutes.
4) Then add mustard seed allow to splutter, add curry leaves.
5) Then add onion , fry till light brown.
6) Add tomatoes, fry in oil itself till it cooks well.
7) Add salt, turmeric and chilly powder fry well for 2 minutes.
8) Garnish with coriander leaves and mix with cooked rice.
Tomato chitranna is ready to eat. :)
