Bisi bisi Mandya style Filter Coffee

Love coffee.. Any season and time a cup of good filter coffee is simply awesome.
I recently went through one story .. Once in the land of gods in devaloka, god Indra fell ill with severe cold and in turn all devaloka vaidya (doctors) tried several medicines but in vain he was not recovered!
Then they called god Hanuman to get medicine from Himalayas and was instructed to him about the fruit to carry.
As Hanuman was carrying the fruits to devaloka, He spill few across the globe while flying high in sky.
After having that fruit in while the god Indra was relaxed from cold and was energetic...
Hold on.. This story how real have no idea :) but felt very relevant for this post.

Wondering what that fruit was?
Its coffee fruit ..
We have loads of varieties in coffee beans nowadays.. And many flavours have come to market.
But filter coffee cannot be competed with any other coffee so far..
We south Indians are really good in making one perfect filter coffee.

So let me share with audience who are new to filter coffee and love to learn

For filter coffee the powder should be little coarse as we add the powder into filter strains.
And I use the coffee chicory mix of 80-20 proportion.

Ingredients required:
Coffee powder -3 tbl spn
Water 50ml
Sugar as per taste
Milk 200 ml

How to make:
1) Take a filter and fill coffee powder on top drip plate .
2) Boil water and add water slowly such that the coffee rests on drip plate but do not disturb the coffee layer by pouring water in rush.
3) Allow to rest the filter undisturbed for 15 minutes.
4) Meanwhile boil milk and keep it ready by adding required sugar.
5) Collect the decoction from filter and add to boiled milk as per taste and strong. (You can add more decoction if needs coffee to be more strong else for light coffee add less decoction to milk)
6) Mix well and hot filter coffee is ready to sip.
