Sihi Kumbalakayi Palya/ Sweet Pumpkin Palya

Ingredients Required:
Sweet Pumpkin - Small one(1/2Kg)
channa dhal - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder- 1/4 tsp
Green chilly- 4No
Black Sesame seed- 1 tbsp
Mustard seed- 1/4 tsp
Asfotedia - 2 pinch
curry leaves , cilantro leaves
cooking oil - 2 tsp
Salt to taste

How to prepare:
  1. chop the sweet pumpkin into small cubes while retaining the outer skin. That adds on more taste.
  2. In pan add 2tsp oil and allow on medium flame for a minute.
  3. Add mustard and let it splitter completely.
  4. Then add curry leaves, asfotedia, chilly, channa dhal, sesame seeds fry for minute
  5. Add chopped pumpkin , turmeric and salt for taste.Stir fry for a minute on medium flame.
  6. Close the lid and allow to cook well for about 5 minutes by stirring now and then.
  7. After done sprinkle some cilantro leaves 

Healthy sweet pumpkin is ready to eat. It goes well with chapathi, roti and also as side dish for hot rice curry.
