Gowdra mane gadde oota\ Badanekayi kayi gojju / Brinjal gojju

 ನಮ್ಮ ಹಳ್ಳಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಸಿ ಬಿಸಿ  ಊಟದ ಬುತ್ತಿ ತಗೊಂಡು ಗೌಡತಿ ಗದ್ದೆಗೆ ಹೋಗೋದು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ.
ಮುದ್ದೆ ಜೊತೆ  ಉಪ್ಪುಸಾರು, ಹಾಲುಸಾರು , ಕೈ ಗೊಜ್ಜು /ಹಸಿ ಗೊಜ್ಜು , ನಾಟಿ ಕೋಳಿ ಸಾರು, ಬಸ್ಸಾರು etc ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ combinations .

ತುಂಬಾ ಬೇಗ ಮಾಡಬಹುದಾದ  ಉಪ್ಪು, ಉಳಿ , ಖಾರ ಇರುವ ಕೈ ಗೊಜ್ಜು ಹೇಗೆ ಮಾಡೋದು ನೋಡೋಣವ ?

Ingredients Required:
Green Brinjal - 1No
Onion - 2 medium ones
Garlic - 2 pods
Green chilly - 2 Nos
Tomatoes - 2 medium ones
Tamarind - small marble sized
Red chilly - 1No
Salt to taste

How to prepare:

  1. Wash the brinjal and smear oil on it and burn over the gas burner.
  2. Till its tender and done. Remove the outer skin by peeling it.
  3. In same way chilly is little burnt in flame.
  4. In a bowl add chopped onion and tomatoes,brinjal,crushed garlic,tamarind, chilly, salt,
  5. Mix all together well using hand (ಕೈ ಗೊಜ್ಜು) thats how the name is followed by :)
  6. Ready to serve with hot Ragi balls - Mudde.
