TomatoBath with Peas

TOMATO BATH 

To the one who liked this tomato bath too much... :)

Ingredients:
Tomato - 1/2 kg
Onion - 150 gm
Garlic pods - 25 no
Ginger - 3 inch
Cinnamon stick - 4 inch
Cloves - 5 no
Bay leaf - 2
Cardamom - 6 no
Fennel Seeds a pinch
Red Chilly powder - 2 tsp
Green Chilly -2 no
Mint leaves- 1 handful
Cilantro leaves - 3 sticks
Cooking oil - 2 tbsp
Rice - 400gms
Salt to taste 
Peas (Optional)
Pepper(Optional)
Kasoori Methi (Optional)
Preparation:

  • In Cooking pan, heat the oil.
  • Add Cinnamon, Cloves, Cardamom, Bay leaf ,Fennel Seeds,Pepper, Kasoori Methi.
  • Allow to splutter.
  • Then add Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • Fry for min
  • Then add finely chopped Onion, fry till the onion are translucent.
  • Then add Red chilly powder fry min 
  • Add finely chopped tomatoes.
  • Cook till tomatoes are smashed : Skin and pulp are separated and oil starts floating.
  • Then add mint leaves, cilantro leaves, peas.
  • Add water.(Measurement as follows)
  • For 1 glass of rice, add 1 1/2 glass of water.
  • Add Rice, salt and close the lid with medium flame.
  • Cook for 15 min.
  • Hot and Spicy Tomato Bath is ready to serve.
