LOLLIPOP CHICKEN


Adding up to the chicken recipes... today am here with Lollipop chicken.
Its not just kids favorite.. most of them are ardent fan of this Lollipop chicken.

I too like deep fried and semi gravy kind of chicken recipes.. so more of such recipes are flooding in blog column ... :)

Here goes recipe... 
Special dedicated dish for all chicken loving kids.

This Lollipop chicken is Indian Chinese Recipe, its Starter.
Though in restaurants its made colorful by adding colors (chemical) .. i don't prefer this artificial colors, instead go natural by adding food colors (Vegetable colors- no chemical)



Ingredients:
Chicken  Drumsticks - 1/2 kg
Ginger- Garlic paste - 1 tsp each
Red chilly powder(For color sake using Byadgi menasinakayi) -1 tsp
Tomato sauce - 1 tsp
White Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp
Soya sauce - 1/2 tsp
Vinegar - 1/2 tsp
Chilly Sauce - 1/4 tsp
Plain flour - 2 tsp
Egg - 2 no's
Cooking oil - 1/2 liter
Salt to taste

Preparation:
  • Clean the chicken drum sticks.
  • In bowl  add ginger - garlic paste, chilly powder, flour, tomato sauce, pepper powder, soya sauce, vinegar, chilly sauce.
  • Mix all together.
  • Beat Egg  white (no yolks) well till fluffy.
  • Add this to bowl and mix well by adding very little water.
  • Then marinate this lollipop chicken in the above prepared mixture for an hour.
  • Deep fry the marinated chicken in hot oil till its cooked.
  • Chicken Lollipop is ready to serve.
As starter.. served hot for dinner with sauce (hot & sour)... yummmy.. isn't it. 
Instead of branding this as restaurant recipes .. can try at home very easily.
