How to get Marriage certificate in Bangalore?
We were recently in need of marriage certificate, planned to visit on weekend.
So Saturday we visited near by Sub register office in Peenya.
But our bad luck it was a second Saturday it was an holiday!
And again next Saturday from office we had team outing and I could not make it to Register office on that Saturday too.
One more Saturday planned well and this is how we could get our marriage registered.
1) Marriage Registration Application collect it from any of the sub register office.
2) Get ready with Application dully filled
3) 6 Photographs of couple together in 2B size color photos.
4) The application form filled should be dully signed by 3 witnesses
- 3 witness can be blood relatives or any other person who has witnessed the marriage.
- The witness need not go to sub register office
5) The ID poof of bride and groom - 1 Photo copy
6) The Age proof of bride and groom - 1 Photo copy
7) The Address proof of both bride and groom. - 1 Photo copy
8) The wedding Card
9) And nominal fees to be given to the clerk there - 155 Rs
We went to Peenya Sub register office with all the above list of documents (1 to 9) .
But to aghast, the behavior of PEENYA sub register office staff was complete rude.
He just went through all the documents and could not give any reason but immediately process it!
But instead he started yelling at us to get the witness to register office before him
We tried to make him understand that we already married and the application is dully filled with 3 witness signed.So it is not necessary to get the witness to register office.
His arrogance was peak he was not ready to listen. (HE WAS EXPECTING BRIBE)
As we had already pushed many Saturdays we just wanted to get our certificate.
So we went to another register office.
Submitted all the documents and only bride and groom presence is enough. (NO WITNESS IS REQUIRED TO VISIT REGISTER OFFICE)
Within 1 hour of submission we got our Marriage Certificate handed over to us.
This is how we got our certificate.
